Reels, Scenes & Notes

If your video project has reels, enter them in Kue Sheet for reference and for use in generating your cue numbers.

Reel Fields

Reels have the following fields:

Reel #

The reel number. This field can be used to auto-generate cue numbers. Alpha and numeric characters are allowed.

Name

The reel name or short description. As an example, the reel serial number could be entered here.

In/Out

The reel start and end time. Reel times for a project/cue sheet cannot overlap.
Timespan (In/Out/Duration) fields are formatted as "HH:MM:SS.###" where H = hours, M = minutes, S = seconds, and ### = milliseconds (1/1000 sesond).
Enter hour, minute and second values as 2 digits. Milliseconds are optional. Examples: For 1 hour 21 minutes, enter "012100". For 1 minute 3 seconds, enter 000103. For 2 minutes 1.5 seconds, enter 000201.5.

Project & Cue Sheet Reels

Reels can be added to a project and/or to the projects individual cue sheets.

Project Reels

Add reels to your project if you will have multiple cue sheets using the same reel times/numbers.

For example, if your project is a series, all episodes might use the same reels. Add the reels to your project. When you create new cue sheets, check the 'Load Project Reels' box and the project reels will be added to your cue sheet.

Cue Sheet Reels

Each cue sheet can have it's own set of reels with their distinct numbers/names. Optionally, when a cue sheet is copied to create a new one, it's reels can be copied as well.

Create & Edit Reels

The reels icon is available in the left menu of the project page and the cue sheet page. Click to display all reels for the project / cue sheet.

Create A Reel

Click Add Reel at lower right. Enter #, Name, In, Out, and optional Notes. Click Save.

Edit A Reel

Update reel information and save.

Delete A Reel

Click the delete icon to the right of the reel out field and save.

Save Changes

Note: Reels are added, modified or deleted on clicking Save. Closing Reels without saving will discard any additions/modifications.

Scene Fields

Scenes have the following fields:

Scene

Create A Scene

Click Add Scene at lower right. Enter information and save.

Edit A Scene

Update scene information and save.

Delete A Scene

Click the scene's delete icon and save.

Save Changes

Note: Scenes are added, modified or deleted on clicking Save. Closing Scenes without saving will discard any additions/modifications.

Import Scenes

Upload an Excel spreadsheet to add scenes to a project or cue sheet.

Create Spreadsheet

Format an existing spreadsheet or create a spreadsheet for import.

Download Sample/Template

Upload

Go to your project or cue sheet and open Scenes.

Click the Import link at lower right. Select your spreadsheet and upload.

Column Content

Select the content/field for each column with the dropdown list at the top of the column. If the column is empty, select --Do Not Import--.

NOTE: Be sure to scroll left to view all columns.

Click Continue.

Review & Complete Import

Your scenes are displayed for review.

Review records and modify if necessary. Click Save to create scenes.

Use Cue Sheet Notes to store information for time periods in your cue sheet.

A short description (up to 1024 characters).

In/Out

The start and end time the note refers to. To designate a single time (i.e.; not a time period), enter the same time for In and Out.

Create & Edit Notes

The notes icon is available in the left menu of the cue sheet page, cue sheet session files page, and cue sheet visual workspace. Click to display all notes for the cue sheet.

Create A Note

Click Add Note at lower right. To add a note before an existing note, use the plus icon above the note. Enter Note, In, Out, and optional Details. Click Save.

Edit A Note

Update note information and save.

Delete A Note

Click a notes delete icon and save.

Save Changes
